Hi. I am Alvin Theriault. I was tying flies by the age of 12 and raising chickens
for fly tying at 15 years old. My wife Connie learned how to tie flies before we
were married. For many years Connie ran our fly tying business while I worked as
a Maine Game Warden. Our daughter Holly was tying flies at 4 and was tying at
her first show at 7 years old. Holly is now a geologist.
Holly has supplied the famous Maple Syrup nymph to our customers for years.
Our family has been involved in fly fishing, fishing flies, and fly tying material for
many years. We operate from our farm in Stacyville, Maine. We have a retail
store on the farm along Route 11. Our store is stocked with over 50,000 fishing
flies. We stock a very large selection of fly tying material. We also have a
catalog describing the many products that we carry. Fly prices start at $1.75 and
material prices are very competitive.
We supply tying material and fishing flies to other stores and sporting camps.
We process grouse skins for the wholesale market as well as the retail stores.
We dye some of our products and sell over 100 colors of dye.
We also tan raw materials which we sell for fly tying and crafts.
We have just expanded the retail store for more material.
We stock Jewelry, stones, slabs, petrified wood, minerals, etc.
